Hôtel Langlois (Hôtel des Croisés) History

A Little Bit of History

The building of Hôtel Langlois (Hôtel des Croisés) was constructed in 1870 used as a bank until 1896. It was then converted into a hotel, managed by the same family until 1997 under the name "Hotel des Croisées".

The hotel was totally renovated once the new management took over; the windows are now sound-proofed, all bathrooms redone, and rooms equipped with telephone, minibar and satellite television.

In order to be able to meet today's standards of comfort, old furniture has been restored and new items have been added while preserving the charm of the Belle Epoque and Art Nouveau reflecting the hotel's style and period. All paintings, sculptures and objets d'art are original, selected by the hotel management with great care at various art auctions.

The Film : The Truth About Charlie (Charade)

In the spring of 2001, the hotel was used to shoot the remake of the film "Charade, The Truth about Charlie", produced by Universal Studios and directed by Jonathan Demme, director of "Silence of the Lambs" and "Philadelphia". After the film's release, it was renamed "Hotel Langlois".
