HÔTEL LANGLOIS

Discover the history of Hôtel Langlois

Built towards the end of the 19th century, the imposing cut-stone building that houses Hôtel Langlois first served as a bank before being converted into a two-story private hotel known as 'L’Hôtel Meublé des Croisés.'

Two additional floors were added in 1896, and the final two were completed in 1905, resulting in the magnificent structure seen today.

Location

Due to its distinctive interior and exterior charm and its prime location just steps away from the Trinité de Paris, Hôtel Langlois is a frequent choice for film and television productions, as well as high-fashion photo shoots.

History

When it first opened, Hôtel Langlois was known as the Hôtel des Croisés. It was renamed Hôtel Langlois after serving as a filming location for Jonathan Demme’s movie, 'The Truth About Charlie.' The director wished to pay tribute to Henri Langlois, the founder of the Cinémathèque Française, and during the filming, we decided to adopt and keep this name for our hotel.
